Laura LEE, artistic director

Laura Lee brings a lifelong dedication to the arts to her position as Access Theater's Artistic Director. Laura centers on inclusivity as she leads Access Theater into its next chapter. Laura is a “promotion from within.” She has worked closely for the past three years with Access Theater leadership developing and producing new work, founding a writers group, interviewing prospective staff and overseeing the Williams College internship program at Access Theater. Laura is a graduate of Williams College. She has produced the short film Whalebone, and co-produced the feature film Magic Hour, starring Miriam Shor, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Patrick Breen and Austin Pendleton. Laura is committed to fostering a warm, productive, creative, and safe space that is inclusive and welcoming. Laura is also a writer, director and producer based in Brooklyn.

Jacqueline christY, Founder & executive director

Jacqueline Christy is a writer, director, and founder of three businesses including Access Manufacturing, Access Theater, and Christy Consulting. At Access Theater, she has produced many plays including the world premiere of The Killing Act, starring Peter Dinklage, written and directed by Tom McCarthy (Spotlight); the world premiere of Aasif Mandvi’s one-man show Sakina’s Restaurant; and the world premiere of Stephen Belber’s Tape. She is the recipient of a 2017 Sloan Foundation and Women Make Movies research grant. She has produced and directed several short films including her documentary Rehearsal which was in competition at the Austin Film Festival and her upcoming short, Other People.

Chris phan, technical director

Chris Phan has been a Technical Director at Access Theater since 2018. Mr. Phan is responsible for supervising and maintaining all new productions out of the Black Box Theater and the Gallery Space. Prior to Access Theater he was the Production Manager for Australia Strange Fruit Touring Company and Aquila Theatre.
